Oral Cancer is a Serious Health Threat in the United States.

More than 30,000 Americans will be diagnosed with oral cancer this year Nearly 8,000 will die from oral cancer this year When detected early, the survival rate is greater than 90%.

• Smoking in combination with heavy alcohol consumption (30+ drinks/week) is the primary risk factor for oral cancer

• Oral cancer is more likely to strike after the age of 40

Who Should Get an Oral Cancer Exam?

Although patients with the previously mentioned risk factors are most susceptible to oral cancer, according to the ADA, 25% of oral cancers occur in people who do not smoke and have no other risk factors. Therefore, we believe that every patient should be tested for oral cancer at least once a year. Finally, there is an easy solution for detecting oral cancers earlier: The ViziLite test works hand in hand with the conventional visual examination of the mouth.
